This image was taken from the roof of my studio in Soho.
The concept was to comment on a meeting between the American indigenous people the Indians and the white Government. The president JFK admitted for the first time their guilt in destroying the native civilization and offered financial reparations. This was a big political event.
'Pow Wow' is native American for a ‘meeting’

JFK was the first American president to acknowledge the destruction of indigenous cultures and guarantee damages. It was a big political event. 'Pow Wow' means encounter in the indigenous language.

Original body of 40/2 combed jersey that does not skew even after washing.
A single piece of fabric is sewn into a circle to form the body.
The back of the collar is reinforced with octopus binder to prevent it from stretching.
